NT: ABC accused of swindling outback Aborigines
An Aboriginal justice advocacy group has criticised the ABC's decision to only provideradio broadcasts of Aussie rules football in the Northern Territory.
The ABC is dropping live television broadcasts of the local competition in favour of rugby union.
Aboriginal Justice Advocacy Committee executive officer CHRIS HAWSE says outback Aborigineswith limited English have been swindled by the decision.
He says radio broadcasts are not an alternative to television in the bush where kidscan't speak English.
