Injury puts Frazer back in the starting lineup

STORRS -- On Tuesday, Mike Box was locked in and set to go as thestarting quarterback for UConn's game with West Virginia on Fridaynight.

Twenty-four hours later, the school announced he'll be on thesidelines with a head injury. Senior Zach Frazer will start hisfirst game since Sept. 25. Walk-on sophomore Johnny McEntee islisted as the back-up.

"There are some things going on, and he's not the same," Edsallsaid Wednesday night on his weekly radio show on WTIC-1080. "Youdon't let somebody out there if they're not able to do the thingsthat they're capable of doing."

Box sustained what was believed to be a minor concussion in thethird quarter of the Huskies' 26-0 loss at Louisville on Saturday.He was replaced by Frazer, who finished the game.

Frazier started the first four games before losing his startingjob. Cody Endres started two games, but was suspended for the seasonand kicked off the team for team rules violations. Box made hisfirst career start last week.

Also listed as out for Friday are backup tailback D.J. Shoemate(head) and kickoff returner/wide receiver Nick Williams (upperextremity). Robbie Frey (leg) is probable and will likely serve asbackup tailback to Jordan Todman.

SPY GAME

A student living in a dorm room that overlooks UConn's outdoorpractice field made some descriptive Internet posts about formationsand personnel from the team's workout Tuesday, Edsall saidWednesday.

The postings were made on a UConn football message board. Edsallsaid he was alerted to them by a concerned parent. Edsall said theHuskies practiced indoors Wednesday because of the weather, butmight consider making it permanent.

"We had someone giving a blow-by-blow of everything that happenedin practice," Edsall said. "With technology these days, everybodywants to let everybody else know everything."
